Kolbon Oak Carpentry is a family –run business with a highly skilled, open-minded, diligent team dedicated to meeting all of your requirements. We're creative and committed to lifelong learning. We have over 18 years experience in working with timber, especially with Oak.

We specialise in designing & manufacturing of traditional-style timber frame buildings crafted from Green Oak.

We design, fabricate and install projects of all sizes, from the supply only of a single feature Oak Truss to the design and construction of complex Oak Trussed Roofs or and Oak Framed Houses. Our portfolio includes both traditional and contemporary Oak frame projects. Oak has the visual flexibility so it can be used on the most traditional designs, or highly contemporary buildings, where it's combined with modern materials such as glass and stainless steel. From architectural timber accents like King Post Truss or Oak Porch to complete Oak Framed Buildings, we offer many unique applications of traditional and modern Oak timber structures..

Kolbon Oak Carpentry is able to provide superior service because of a strong, experienced and talented team. This is our life. Experience makes all the difference. Knowledge of the art of timber frame design and the Kolbon Oak Carpentry product is the essence. Most of us have been involved in every aspect of timber frame construction, from beginning to the end, from milling Oak, through design to fabrication of Oak Frame. One of our greatest strengths is our focus on detail, and this is evident on all of our projects to date.

We work on each project in hands on fashion, considering every beam & joint individually. Having the sawmill on the same site as the frame yard gives us unique advantage, enabling us to minimise waste and reduce transport, but above all it gives us the opportunity to select individual trees for each project. Most of Oak timber framing is done with Green Oak before the wood has a chance to dry, twist and crack - it is the best way. Our Oak Framed buildings are milled, framed and erected ‘off site’ in our yard before being transported to site.
